Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a non-profit group that is helping to implement an engineering curriculum into middle and high schools. Bemidji High School started the process of adopting the PLTW curriculum during the 2005-2006 school year. The first year only Introduction to Engineering Design(IED) was offered. During the 2006-2007 school year we are teaching IED and Principles of Engineering (POE). In the 2007-2008 School year we are implementing Digital Electronics (DE) and Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA). During the following years we will introduce Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) and Engineering Design and Development (EDD). A description of each course can be found on the PLTW web site.
