- Hey BHS! We need your help!
- This year, JROTC is conducting a Food Drive (including non-perishable food items, non-food hygienic items, and cash.) The event will run from May 6th through May 24th. The manager of the Food Shelf indicated that they are in great need as summer is fast approaching when students will be home rather than receiving meals at school. The Food Shelf has an urgent need for tuna fish, canned meats, soups, canned fruit, beans, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. They will also be collecting lightly used clothing items—clean and in good condition—which will be donated to ValueSmart. The proceeds from the clothing sales will go directly to the Food Shelf to purchase additional food items. All donations should be brought to first period where they will be collected each week. Each week's winner will be awarded donuts the following Monday, and the names of students in the overall winning class will be placed in a drawing for the chance to win tickets to the Farm concert at the Sanford Center.

- Welcome to BHS
Welcome to the Bemidji High School web site. Bemidji High School, home of the Lumberjacks, serves approximately 1500 students in grades 9-12. Constructed in 2000, the 200 acre scenic campus is located on the Mississippi River in the heart of the northern lake country.
The mission of Bemidji High School is to empower learners to succeed in our diverse and changing world. To accomplish this we offer learning experiences that enhance and encourage the self-concept, knowledge and skills necessary for each student to pursue his/her dreams and to live successful lives.
The goal of Bemidji High School is to ensure that all students who begin as ninth grade students will graduate with the skills necessary to attend college without the need to take remedial courses in the areas of reading, writing, or mathematics once enrolled in college.
Our staff is student centered and work diligently for student success. In addition to our required coursework students have many choices in the areas of the performing and visual arts, business education, industrial technology, consumer and military sciences and world language. Bemidji High School offers a very successful and extensive Advanced Placement program. We collaborate with Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College in offering College in the High School courses/credit as well as advanced standing credit. Extra curricular opportunities are available in music, sports, various clubs and activities.
Bemidji High School has a strong history of success in academics, athletics and fine arts. Each spring scholarships totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars are awarded to graduating students who have achieved academic excellence. These awards are evidence of the importance of education as viewed by students, parents, educators, and the greater Bemidji community. Students consistently score above the state, regional and national average, attesting the constant pursuit of academic excellence.
